I strongly recommend this experience, for 1 hour and a half, with a short break in the middle, 4 musicians play violon, cello, mozart's and other's composition, in a beautiful and small room (max. 30 persons). They provide also few explanations about the music and place in English.

Perfect evening in Vienna. Small venue, excellent performances, upbeat selections, and informal. Highly recommend.

The experience was unique and unforgettable - the time flew as I was mesmerized by the talent of the ensemble. I would highly recommend.

I attended both the Trio and the Classic Strings Quartet of the Mozart Ensemble series. Both performances were masterfully performed. Outstanding! Music played included Bach, Mozart, Chopin, and others.

The music hall was designed and painted to resemble the second half of the 18th century. The artistically painted walls and ceiling designs captivate the audience's presence with a rare glimpse of times past as the violin and piano sounds echoed off the decorated walls and ceiling leading to a very full and rich concert, unlike any other venue.

I highly recommend this delightful series of performances, and I will return for more brilliant music on my next trip to Wien.

Brilliant, talented musicians in a magical little chamber. Highly recommended. Longing to return for another concert.

I liked it, but I thought it looked a bigger place. Anyway, the music was amazing, as much as the decoration inside. They are fabulous artists and they deserve the best in their career as musicians. About the price, it wasn't too expensive, but the location (the entrance) reduce the value of the cost. I recommend it anyway!

WE both enjoyed our evening,. The venue is very small and beautifully decorated. This means that the audience is limited and close to the performers who were superb.
Our only difficulty was finding the entrance and was glad that we searched it out earlier in the day .
WE know that friends and family would enjoy this as much as we did,

We liked everything about this experience. Historical setting, fantastic music and musicians, powerful experience. I would recommend this as a must do to anyone visiting Vienna.

Hearing Mozart’s work in the intimate chamber where he composed music, and where it was first played, was truly an experience of a lifetime. Don’t miss this unique opportunity.

Performance: The performance was wonderful...the selection of pieces was thoughtful and included pieces that are not 'over played' in tourist settings. The musicians played beautifully and skillfully; watching them take their ques from the lead violinist and each other was fascinating in this intimate venue.

Venue: VERY intimate. Approximately 50 seats. Beautiful faux frescos on walls and ceiling (domed). There were three rows of chairs.

Value: Very much worth the $69E we paid. NOTE: while different ticket prices are offered, this venue is VERY small/intimate, so absolutely no need to purchase the higher priced tickets.

This was fabulous. The skill of the musicians mesmerised us at times and watching them in such an intimate and personal space really added to the event. I would thoroughly recommend this concert.

The concert was one of the best performances my son and I have ever attended.The historic venue,the talented and experienced musicians and the great composers' works were the perfect combination for an unforgettable evening in Vienna!!! Thank you all at the Mozarthaus and especially the Mozart Ensemble! The only annoying thing were some other tourists-Americans,Isuppose- who were clapping when they shouldn't have done so before the musicians had completed the different parts of the musical pieces.
Of course I would recommend such a great experience to my friends because it is so worthy!!

Beautiful, intimate concert hall. Wonderful music selection performed by excellent musicians. Loved the brief talks with the audience!

Small group, not a full room, but even if full, would still have been excellent, as acoustics were superb, sightings to the raised stage were also excellent.

Die Buchung gestaltete sich problemlos, etwas schwierig war für uns, die beiden Mozarthäuser mit ihren Musikveranstaltungen auseinander zu halten. Gefallen haben uns die musikalische Qualität und die Spielfreude der Spielenden. Wir hatten den Eindruck, dass die Gruppe in sich harmonisch war und nicht nur harmonisch spielte. Vielleicht könnten auch einmal weniger bekannte Stücke in das Repertoire aufgenommen werden. Wir würden einen Besuch allen Wien-Reisenden empfehlen, die auch einmal zur Ruhe kommen wollen.

Loved the intimate setting with the performers. You could tell they really seemed to enjoy what they were doing and were very entertaining with their expressions. the music was beautiful! Maybe make an announcement in the beginning to applauded only when the lead violinist lowers his bow for the non-symphony goers.

We had a really nice night at this concert! The trio are very talented and charismatic, and it looked like they really enjoyed performing the songs, which was lovely. They played as a group, and each musician also had a few pieces solo, to showcase their instrument. The selection of music was varied and interesting, with some modern or more obscure pieces mixed in with well-known classics, all played beautifully. The room was also really lovely - beautiful painted walls, a bit of mood lighting, very intimate setting. It was a treat to be so close to the musicians, and the acoustics were very good. We had tickets for the fourth or fifth row, I think, and our seats were perfect.

It is a little bit confusing to find the right entrance to the venue - I think the Google Maps pin is in the wrong place - but look out for a second entrance and an a-frame sign on the street. I was also a little bit worried about the chairs - very straight backs, so not a lot of lumbar support if you have a back issue - but with the length of the concert and a stretch at intermission, it was fine. Intermission was a very simple drink or glass of juice in the monastery's courtyard.

Truly excellent acoustic and musicians, great choice of repertoire (sadly the rest of the public, not used to the “etiquette”, left immediately not permitting the “encore” that I would have loved!)!
And it goes without saying that the room and it frescoes are splendid!

I chose this event over others based on reviews and hopes of hearing repertoire less frequently heard by the Viennese masters. Also because I am not a fan of Strauss waltzes. The venue was lovely, intimate and acoustically astounding. The quartet performed with technical virtuosity, great phrasing and communication. The program (which was not published when I purchased), however, was still mostly well known and frequently performed works. These composers were so prolific and wrote dozens of wonderful pieces, so it is disappointing that it can be so hard to hear them performed in a great venue.
Booking the event was easy, but when we arrived the host advised us to pay 20 euros more to have a better view of the musicians. I had read that there were no bad seats since the room is small and the acoustics great so I purchased the lower tier. We did not have enough euros with us so we said we would keep our seats. The host then said he would move us up as a courtesy. When we went into hall I noticed our original row was already full, therefore believe the room had been overbooked or an error had been made and feel like I escaped a scam. and honestly we could seen the performers fine in our original seats.

The elaborately designed hall is worth visiting. The artists cater to tourists, so If you’re a serious musician or have a more sophisticated expectations, you might think twice.

After having a little trouble finding the venue, we enjoyed an evening of beautiful music. The musicians were incredibly talented and the room was intimate and lovely. We would definitely recommend this as a memorable evening.

The concert was a great experience in a magnificent venue.

Solid performance by a trio, good musicians. It's a small room so acoustics are great and you can see the performers from any seat.
Chairs could have been more comfortable and spread apart. There are only 6-7 rows of chairs, and the day we went the first row was completely empty, as a courtesy they should have told the attendees to go up one row. Other than that, it was classy and well done. If your goal is listening to classical music in a peaceful setting without much fanfare, this is a great choice.

This is a wonderful concert! I loved the variety of pieces they played. I loved that there were also piano solos.

I was a bit suspicious about the concert. But after reading the bad reviews on golden hall, I don’t think I have much choice in summer Vienna.
But the concert is out of my expectation and was really amazing! I highly recommend this and would love to go again if visiting vienna in the future

Wonderful performance of Mozart's works. Some of it was improvised which showed how skilled the performers are. Musicians careful to explain some things. I always like to go back for some more. Useful interval with time for a short drink of sparkling wine. What more could you want ?

This concert was a highlight of our trip to Vienna! The intimate setting, in a historical environment, took me back in time! The ensemble was a group of top shelf classical musicians. I would recommend this experience to anyone looking for an authentic Viennese experience!

Der Empfang war überaus freundlich, der Saal ein wunderbarer und außergewöhnlicher Rahmen, die Auswahl der Stücke war dem Publikum entsprechend aber auch für uns (wir sind Wiener) angenehm und es wurde gut und engagiert gespielt, Bach war allerdings nicht dem restlichen Niveau entsprechend.

During our stay in Vienna, we booked a different concert for each of our 3 nights stay. This with was our favorite! The Thursday night concert we attended had a trio playing (piano, cello, violin). The venue is beautiful, charming, and intimate. The music and talent were EXCELLENT! The performance included humor and interactions with the audience in addition to educational historical tidbits shared, and serious full-on playing. We highly recommend this concert!

The concert exceeded our expectations. The venue was air conditioned and not crowded. I was worried the musicians might just “phone it in”. But that is absolutely not the case! They performed beautifully.

Nach dem leicht unprofessionellen Handling am Einlass, bei dem man versucht hat, uns gegen Aufpreis Karten in vorderen Reihen zu verkaufen, obwohl der Saal so klein ist, dass das wirklich rausgeschmissenes Geld gewesen wäre, war das Ensemble wirklich sehr gut. Alles in allem ein tolles Erlebnis, fast ein "Wohnzimmer-Konzert" in einer Art verwunschenem Saal, und sehr gut passend zu Wien. Da man aber mit der Location "Mozart-Haus" wirbt, wäre es schön, wenn der Anteil an Mozart-Kompositionen etwas höher wäre, als nur 1/4 des Konzertes .... Aber unbedingt empfehlenswert.

This was my favorite evening in Vienna! The intimate setting was perfect for listening to the incomparable musicians performing there. They were some of the most skilled, talented and passionate purveyors of the classics I’ve ever heard. Their renditions brought both my husband and I to tears ar different points in their performances. The whole world just fell away as their powerful performances transported us to a whole other place where all that existed was the beauty of the music playing and all that goes with it. I’ve not ever experienced that before and I’ll never forget it. I highly recommend this experience!! Don’t miss it!

Das Theater ist wunderbar. Die Buchung ging ohne Problem. Aber das Programm des Streichquartetts von 1 Juli des Abends hat mir ein bisschen enttäuscht, es war einigermassen abgedroschen. Es war auch nicht ganz das Programm wie es von vornherein in der Broschure angekundigt war.
Trotzdem würde ich dieses Angebot sicher meinen Freunden empfehlen.

Before buying tickets for the concert, I was a little anxious about what to expect. Being a professional musician myself, I had this fear that the concert would be very 'touristy', and that the musicians would be only half-interested. HOW WRONG I WAS! My grown-up daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the exquisite concert, played by highly skilled and charming musicians, who took the trouble to tell us charming details about the pieces they were playing. However, there was one detail which was a little disappointing: the grand piano was very much out of tune. We enjoyed our musical evening very much! But I think the sold-out hall payed enough to hire a piano-tuner. So that would be my tip! Thanks again!

I don't usually listen to classical music, but figured I had to attend a concert whilst in Vienna. It exceded all my expectations! The musicians where very good and had a lot fun facts about the composers they where playing. The vanue is small which makes it very personal and easy to meet other travelers.

The only downside to the experience was that the location was quite difficult to find. So don't arrive last minute.

There are many summer concerts offered, and this one stood out for the quality of the musical performance and the overall experience. The trio was outstanding musically and shared interesting information about the pieces. It was not simply a tourist show. The room is intimate and well air-conditioned so comfortable in summer heat. Highly recommend!

With several friends I attended a concert of the Mozart Ensemble last week. We were thoroughly delighted by the energized and unique approach to the music they played. It was clear they enjoy playing together and do so often. It was just as fun to watch the interaction between the players as to listen to them. I also appreciated that the ensemble's leader said a few words prior to each piece regarding its specific characteristics to listen for or the possible inspiration behind it. A great evening.

This was very nice evening, definitely worth it

There are too many people packed into an otherwise lovely venue. There must not be fire codes in Vienna. We had to move chairs for those of us in my row and the row behind to exit. I was almost sitting on the lap of the stranger on my left. Aside from the discomfort/concern the performance was too-notch.

The musicians and their choices were wonderful. The venue is lovely and easy to get to from the Underground. Unfortunatley, the seats are placed so close together in the small hall that there was barely room to move. If you are seated next to a large person, you cannot sit back in your chair without literally, rubbing shoulders with them. If there was ever need to evacuate the room quickly, it could be a real disaster. Again, beautiful music but not the most comfortable way to enjoy it.

Being a small venue with empty seats the ushers could have volunteered to move the audience around so that everyone could have a better seat.
We absolutely would highly recommend this to everyone.

This was a lovely experience. The music was wonderful in room with perfect acoustics. There is no bad seat in the house. The break with refreshments was also welcomed. If you're hesitating about booking this - don't. You will absolutely enjoy!

We enjoyed this intimate concert in the fascinating salon-style venue. The Concertmaster explained the history of the place and put the music in context (in Engish and Deutsch). It was exactly the Vienna experience these casual fans of classical music hoped for. We had some ticket confusion that the friendly onsite staff handled graciously.

This was my second visit within seven years to this concert at the same place. The musicians are definitely better than before and at perfect level. Program was perfect. Place is still very cosy and seems renovated.

Both employees who supported guests were not so just because I paid for rows 1-3 and placet on row 3 at the very end but at the row 1 and 2 were places generally chinese and american people. This could be classified as discrimination.

The musical selection and performance were, if possible, even more enjoyable than when we first attended a few years ago. That first experience was so remarkable, we made it a "must do" to attend again. Highly recommended.

I would recommend this to friends (in fact I did) and we all enjoyed the evening. The first violinist story about his family and the building where famous musicians lived was very interesting. The music was very good and it was fun having the musicians dressed in vintage clothing to match the building. The music was well chosen and the encore piece was very special - funny and lively. The place was difficult to find, even with good directions. I think perhaps signs in a few strategic places would be helpful. In the music capital of Europe, it's a wonderful way to celebrate it's musical past.

I really recommend this concert. It was a perfect way to spend an authentic and wholesome evening in Vienna. We booked the string quartet and the musicians were incredible and played some beautiful classical music. They played some of Mozart’s music as well as other classical composers. Nice and intimate setting and perfect length with an intermission to buy some sparkling wine. Definitely a very memorable experience for your visit to Vienna!

The musicians were great and gave a very good performance. I would have appreciated the wigs as advertised too, but I understand it might have been too uncomfortable in summer. Also the 1st violin did not seem so prepared, as hair was loosely tied and was using a tablet instead of the paper pieces.
Mostly what was annoying, however, was the organization or more precisely the lack thereof. The organizers had trouble assigning seats and the situation was a bit chaotic. I don't understand what could be so hard in numbering and assigning less than 50 tickets to seats. It was not very professional at all about how guests were being welcomed in. And then at the interlude we were invited for drinks...which they charge 5 eur for! Even though we paid 69 for this hour or so of music in the sealed room, we did not even get a glass of water for free. Really gave this whole experience the feel of a cash grab at best, and tourist trap at worst.

Given all the above, the magic of the moments there listening to the music that Mozart himself performed right there in this stunning room, is what we went there for, and this is exactly what we got. It is certainly worth the asking price if you don't mind the above. Even for just being magically transported to another time for an hour... beautiful but really should be organized better

This was truly an amazing evening performance. The concert room was gorgeous & the musicians and choice of material was excellent!

The musicians were terrific, but they were painfully loud in this small room. The upper register of the violins hurt my ears so much that I unfortunately had to leave.

The string quartet's performance was exceptional in every way; authenticity & animation of the performers brings the music to life, costumes, chamber sound quality, fresco paintings, champagne intermission, & variety of composer's featured (not only Mozart) all added depth to the experience to introduce my son to this classical music.

This is a small, somewhat difficult to find, venue. The piano trio was lively with an amazing pianist, great cellist, and mediocre violinist. If you cannot get into the Vienna Philharmonic or Opera, this is a reasonable substitute for music lovers.

The concert truly was the highlight of our Vienna stay. Intimate setting, excellent acoustics and great musicians - and in a house where Mozart once lived. It couldn’t have been better and we would highly recommend even if not that knowledgeable about classical music

Highly recommended to any music lover. I attended the trio (violin, piano cello). The musicians were incredibly talented but also quite jovial and entertaining with tidbits of information between songs. It was nice to see some less commonly known selections performed along classical standards. You also will get a mix of the full trio with some solo numbers as well. The setting is much smaller than you may expect which added to the intimacy of the experience. My only recommendation is to bring some euros for a glass of champagne at the intermission, no cards accepted. Please enjoy !

I enjoyed the experience and selection of music - but not the finest musicians I've heard and with crowded uncomfortable seating - so overall I felt it was generally overpriced.

Lovely venue, but fairly poor performance

The crowning jewel of our trip to Vienna was hearing the Mozart Ensemble in a small personal space. Anyone with a shred of interest in classical music would love this and it is great even for teens as an introduction to a kind of music many have little experience with.

Wonderful performers, music and venue. Our second visit. Organizers should consider offering cushions for the chairs as they were very hard to sit in for the entire concert also the chairs were too close together, leading to a cramped feeling. The venue was very warm, not sure how to address this other than trying to pre-cool venue prior to start of show or if low noise fans could be used.

This was by far the best concert we attended in Vienna. It was a small, intimate experience in a beautiful room that had the best acoustics I have ever experienced. The string quartet was brilliant. There was an intermission with champagne in the charming courtyard next to the concert hall, overlooked by Mozart’s first apartment, where he lived as a bachelor.
Highly recommend to anyone who is looking for an authentic concert attended by Austrians and not just tourists.

I loved the music hall and the music was great. Perhaps add a pre concert note that jackets must be removed in the concert hall. I believe jackets had to be removed due to the size of the room and acoustics

The concert room was exquisite, covered with frescos, and with great acoustic. Bonus feature, Mozart has actually performed his music there! The quartet was great and their leader was kind enough to prologue each piece in German and in English. It was money and time really good spend and definetaly the highlight of our trip in Vienna. The quality of musicianship was very high and the program, as to be expected, was fairly pedestrian. There are lots of these types of "concerts" across Central Europe and this was one of the best. The venue was very cozy and the decor was nice. During the concert, the room got stuffy even though the weather was very pleasant outside. I can't imagine what it would be like during the hot summer months. Overall, this was a worthwhile experience. For those considering this venue, please consider this: the night before we attended a concert at Musikverein which was outstanding and cost less.

Popular classical pieces performed in an intimate setting by outstanding musicians in a beautifully decorated room were Mozart performed… do I need to say more? There is an intermission with champagne and OJ (5€).

We had the chance to experience a great musical experience with absolutely amazing musicians, hats off to them! The problem is with the setting, this was an intimate room and it was absolutely ridiculous to let people in after almost 20 mins into the concert after start :/ That was disrespectful to musicians and also all the people in the room who were kind enough to arrive on time. In addition to arriving late, the later comer group was noisy and almost didn't want to be there, a gentleman sitting by us coughed, sighed, constantly moved in his chair making squeaky noises and he was like at least 65 so I'd expect that he should have had some level of manners but unfortunately that wasn't the case :/ We have another couple on the other side constantly taking photos which is not permitted, and of course it was distracting for both us and musicians. I'd advise to enforce rules a bit more strongly to keep the overall experience at a higher level. Thanks!

Let me start by saying the musicians were amazing. But the website I bought my tickets from never asked if I was a student but let me purchase the less expensive seats in the back. Apparently those are only for students? When we arrived they asked to see student ID's. We aren't students so we had to pay an additional 35 euro for the 2 of us to get in but the guy taking tickets assured us they were upgraded seats... Intermission happens and the program says drinks in the lobby. Okay great! We get a free drink with that price. Nope, it failed to mention drinks for purchase in the lobby. We just got a greasy feeling and that really Mozart only lived there for a month. The whole thing was just a cash grab. But again, the musicians played wonderfully.

The evening concert at Mozarthaus was easily the most memorable of our stay in Vienna. The venue is a delight for the eye and the excellent acoustics make it a delight for the ear as well. It's so intimate you could easily watch the interactions among the performers. In all, it was well worth the money and the minimal effort it took to reserve tickets.

The venue was pretty unique, the music and quartet were superb, really enjoyed it. Not typically a classical music fan so didnt want to sit through hours of it but wanted to experience it this was perfect, tunes I recognised and about 1.5 hrs.

They gave a short introduction and background for many of the pieces played. The seating was a little cramped, but all of the seats were quite close to the musicians which made for a very intimate experience.

Buchungsschwierigkeiten gab es keinerlei. Ich hatte ehrlich gesagt ein paar Bedenklichkeiten, dass es vielleicht eine Touristenfalle sein könnte, aber diese Befürchtung hat sich als total grundlos gezeigt.

Ich würde dieses Konzerterlebnis allen, die klassische Musik lieben, empfehlen. Vielleicht auch für Instrumenten-Enthusiasten oder Volksmusik Interessierte spannend.

Ein sehr schönes Konzert in kleinem Rahmen. Die Musiker waren mit ganzem Herzen dabei.

Während des Konzertes waren mehr als fünf Personen, die mit dem Handy filmten. Neben uns war eine Influenzerin, die während des Konzertes immer wieder filmte, Kommentare schrieb und alles gleich ins Netz stellte.
Der Veranstalter sollte dafür sorgen, dass in dem wunderschönen Konzertsaal kein Handbetrieb möglich ist.
Die Künstler selbst spielten wunderschön und sind ihr Geld wert, bravissimo!!!

As a classically trained pianist - I cannot say enough about this beautiful experience. To be transported back to the days of Mozart and how such beautiful works were typically performed - in private, small salons - the musicians and their incredible performance made this a once in a lifetime evening. The acoustics in this small, baroque salon were amazing - one could literally feel the reverberation of all the instruments - every seat in the salon is perfect for viewing/hearing up close these masterful musicians. They were engaging, offered historical insights and literally their performance moved me to tears!

While Vienna is famous for the Opera and so many musical venues of classical music - this one is a gem - do NOT miss it!

For value, I think this is great. I was a little unnerved when the guy checking our tickets was trying to upsell us hard on getting the pricier front row tickets instead of the ones we had. Thank goodness I’d seen photos of the venue and stood my ground when he said “don’t complain when you can’t see since the seating is all level.” There are a total of max 6 rows so it doesn’t matter where you sit. You’ll be able to enjoy it. The space is very small and intimate. They have an intermission where you can buy drinks outside and they’ll likely do an encore at the end. No photos or videos during the performance.

Nicht gefallen hat mir, dass das Mozarthaus nicht das Mozarthaus nach Stadtplan ist. Ausserdem fand ich es befremdlich, dass die Musiker fast alles nur auf Englisch gesagt haben.Die Stücke waren gut gespielt, doch hätte ich etwas mehr Mozart besser gefunden.

We really liked the concert, it was the second time we went there, it was an experience for us as well! The ticket purchase was easy, we will go again the next time we visit Vienna. The young man greeted me kindly at the entrance and escorted me to our place. Unfortunately, we were cold in the hall, it was quite cool there.

The intimate setting made this chamber music ensemble really special. We converted a friend who is a non classical lover to show interest in attending more concerts like it. Giving it a thumbs up for sure! Can't wait to return for another performance from these talented artists.

Wir haben einen wunderschönen Abend im Deutschordenhaus genossen. Die Musiker - alle renommierte Kammermusiker - haben hervorragend konzertiert. Die Auswahl der Musikstücke hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die kleine Pause mit angebotenen Getränken war sehr kurzweilig. Das Publikum war begeistert und bekam eine umfangreiche Zugabe. Wir können diese Konzerte ausnahmslos empfehlen.

So it was easy to book and easy to find the venue (Mozart lived here for ...6 weeks) Room is lovely and the musicians, excellent. Ps - we were a party of musicians. At €60 for 60mins gig (75 min with 15 break) tis pricey enough. It would have been a nice touch if the small glass of wine/prosecco was complimantary (I know, we are musicians) but to pay for it as an add-on while standing in the lane in the cold during the interval, I thought a little cheeky?? Overall, worth it and would recommend.

Excellent musicians with some fun showmanship. We came twice in three weeks so we could hear the string quartet AND the piano-viola-violin trio. The latter program gave time to each musician to perform several solos, which were expertly and passionately played. Mozart's Eine Kleine Nachtmusik seems to have been chosen with tourists in mind as it is on both programs, but of course it is lovely. Our tweenage boys enjoyed it too!

While in Vienna, don’t miss this talented trio at the Mozarthaus! Their performance was fabulous! These musicians together excelled - and their solo performances were outstanding!

Meeting talented and committed musicians is always a gift. In this case, the gift was extraordinary. The setting only adds to the experience and gives you a feeling of how things were in Vienna back then. An introduction to the music would have been the icing on the cake

The quartet who performed were so talented and lively! Beautiful, fun, and intimate performance. It's in a small chamber with no bad seats, and the artists made everyone feel welcomed. Booking tickets online was quick and easy. Contacting customer support regarding a ticket change was fast and they were more than kind. Would absolutely recommend anyone see this performance, and thoroughly enjoy it as much as I did.

It has been a bucket list of mine to visit Vienna and hear Mozart. I am so happy that I was able to do so while visiting Vienna in March of 2023. Booking the tickets was easy and I would recommend this offer. The only quibble is that the venue was listed as the house Mozart lived in while he lived in Vienna when in reality it was at a completely different location. We arrived at the Mozart House only to be told to go to another location, without any address. Thankfully, we were able to find the actual location. It is a lovely space with amazing acoustics. I only wish the performance itself was a little longer. The musicians were excellent, charming, captivating and so energetic.

The music was beautiful, the performers were grand, and the venue was mesmerizing. It is a working church (monastery?) so the atmonsphere is very solemn. And it's a lovely walk through during the daytime as well.

If you're in Vienna, this is a lovely way to experience good music in the heart of the city right before dinner and other plans.

We were notified at the last minute that there would not be a pianist without an option to cancel or reschedule. The atmosphere of the concert was depressing. The fake ‘old’ mural was inexperienced student quality. I felt sorry for the musicians.

The setings give a unique dimension to the concert, as well as the small size of the audience. We went with our children, who were captivated from beginning to end. We did not regret taking front row seats. We spent an unforgettable time and we highly recommend this event.

Only point to improve on is to maybe reduce the number of chairs as it was very hot and uncomfortable having to hold my arms/shoulders to stop overlapping with people either side of me.

Also it took a long time to issue seating on arrival so maybe adopt how theatres arrange tickets/seating and number the chair/ticket so people can show their ticket on arrival and be shown their seat.

The concert was a Valentine's Day gift. It sounded romantic, but potentially kitsch. It was romantic, yes. But it was not kitsch or touristy. The musicians were genuinely amazing and a delight to watch as well as listen to. The acoustics in the Mozart House were fantastic, as well as charming. Additionally, the hosts were gracious and pleasant. Best music value I can think of.

Experiencing this little concert was one of the highlights of our trip in Europe. The musicians were absolutely masterful, the acoustics divine, and it was very special to be in that gorgeous salon with all the beautiful frescoes.

This is a 'must do' if you ever visit Vienna! It's a small, intimate concert in a stunning room, with music played by the most talented musicians who were also great fun. Booking was very easy online, with tickets waiting for us on arrival. Refreshments served at the interval. We would definitely go again next time we visit Vienna.

How can you say Italians are only pizza, spaghetti and “dolce vita” in 2023? Let’s study more about culture, history and communication before write a test for an international events. We would never say that wieners are only wienershnitzel, kaisersmarr and nostalgic valzer players or dancers…they are europeans, like Italians are, all with their special, unique features. There is more than one venue called Mozart house and many of us went to the wrong address. No note or sign was there to direct us correctly.

The room was tiny and chairs squashed in to maximise patrons. In terms of Covid issues, a disaster. And in terms of fire, seemedclike too many in the hall.

I believe the cost of the tickets was highly overpriced. The trio was excellent but this was a price you would pay for a large concert hall. Not for fold up uncomfortable chairs squashed next to one another

I would definitely recommend this music ensemble. Beautiful music, amazing venue, great location and very talented musicians!!! 10 out of 10! When I go back to Vienna I’ll try to go again!

Concert was fab, small venue (the Sala Terrena in Mozarthaus Vienna). Great performers, beautiful venue.

IMPROVEMENT POINTS:
Hire some decent hospitality people (arrival / reception / entry was a mess, think Flixbus experience, the cloak room DIY / good luck everyone, type of thing)
Adding a master of ceremonies to introduce venue, performers, arrangements, etc. would really help (please don't leave this to the performers - it is not what they should be doing, they were clearly not comfortable having to take up this task)
Drinks before the show and during the break were a joke (and I usually enjoy them). Zero attempt at dressing the experience up, teenagers at a school dance would do better. And this is where you're expected to add to the overall experience as well as make additional revenue, right?

A little care would go a long way - and easy 5 stars any day of the week

Very good performance. I totally enjoyed tjr night and the performance was impeccable. No regret for the purchase. Had I had time I would have purchased the tocket for tje piano trio too.

Performers were being up close and personal to the audiences. However the seats were hard chairs for our ticket category. More comfortable chairs with cushions could have been easily managed by the organizer like the other category which were not luxury chairs anyway. Views were also restricted. However, this is a must see for tourists who want to experience true Vienna!

This small concert hall with loud-sounding acoustics requires musicians who are also able to play softer, piano or even pianissimo. Especially the pianist couldn't or didn't want to. He played way too loud all the time.

My wife and I had a truly enchanting evening in unique intimate surroundings. We were welcomed in a pleasant and friendly way and taken to our seats. The room is beautiful and encapsulates the era during which Mozart performed there. We were privileged to witness the extremely talented musicians whose abilities were outstanding. We loved their interaction with each other which made the music come alive. Definitely recommend this evening for a truly authentic Viennese experience.

Overall, it was not a concert that I was looking for. It is more like a traveler's experience, than a music concert. Front desk people were not courtesy. I was waiting outside of the building about 40 minutes to get in. Check in service was not organized and not efficient. Seat were very tight. Music sounded very poor. The level of performance was very below average. I would not recommend this to any travelers at all.

The venue is slightly cramped but the ensemble performance made up for the close quarters. The talent of the musicians and the selected pieces were impecable.

I appreciate the kind staff who let us in despite a mix-up with the tickets. It was a pleasant experience, a lovely room that certainly makes it worth the experience. Acoustics are nice too. Primary drawback is that the chairs were a bit too close together and I feel like the usher shouldn't be working both the desk and the ushering. Also, I thought the lineup would have been better with Viennese composers only, but I suppose it is an activity meant for your average tourist rather than those with classical music training. Overall, an experience that I can recommend.

I love my entire experience. I booked in advance before arriving Vienna. I was able to enjoy my concert without any difficulties. I had so much joy the first time that I booked again for another concert.
It was a great performance, very entertaining evening, The musicians played with joy. One can feel and connect with the joy and love each musician play his/her instrument. The musicians also tells stories and make very entertaining the entire evening with their performance.

I had last minute ticket an hour before performance. I was so lucky

The beauty and intimacy of the setting made you feel that you wer attending an original 18th century concert. Never have I experienced a string quartet in such an engaging way. You almost felt like you were part of the ensemble. Great musi, great setting, a wonderful experience.

We had a wonderful evening at the concert. The ensemble was simply marvelous, the venue charming, and the program varied and substantial. We will do this whenever when we are in Wien.

The only critique I would have was that it was hard to find where to enter the venue. The address brought us into an outer courtyard and if it wasn't for one of the members of the ensemble who found us wandering around, we would have probably been late to the concert.

Otherwise, a stellar evening!

The place - this is a medieval Viennese house, with that typical yard, and the hall itself - well, it remembers Mozart himself!
Musicians are great! Even if you just look at the show, how they play, how they move, how passionate they are while playing - that alone would make anyone happier! And add this light lively music to that!
My 14yo daughter for whom this concert was "mandatory", said she would want to visit it again when we get to Vienna next time.

We paid the extra money for the front row and enjoyed being close to the musicians. The room was beautiful and music very nice. We scoped out the location prior to the show and I would recommend that so you aren't late trying to find it. You can purchase a drink at intermission. There is a nice small church to pop into right near the room where the concert is held.

We really liked this concert. The trio played very well known pieces and the venue was lovely and warm on a cold winter’s night.
This was a light, entertaining event.
Unfortunately the drinks served during the break were in an unheated room - so we did not partake.

It was lovely. The musicians, exquisite to hear in person. However, it is not 3 rows… it was 5 if not 6. While I understand cramming so many people into one little room (hopefully to pay the musicians more) it detracted from the experience, made me claustrophobic, and audience members coughing and sneezing (when everyone is elbow to elbow and Covid is still a thing) was not the best. Personally, I would pay more money for three rows of audience members, as advertised.

The concert room dates back to mid 18th century and it is said to be built as an entertainment venue. The acoustics in the room is amazing, so are the wall paintings dating back hundreds of years. Orchestra are really well skilled in their area and had a great selection of positive classical music from various composers with a focus on Mozart. Just be aware that the venue is quite small and the seating arrangements will be quite tight.

The Mozarthaus is a wonderful and intimate setting to experience this string ensemble. Very professional and exceptionally talented quartet. We had front row seats which made it all the more exciting with the additional thrill of attending on Mozarts birthday. Vienna is a special place—especially around Christmas and we were delighted to get seats for this performance. Highly recommended when in Vienna. Book ahead online.

I thought the experience of being close to the players, much like the string quartets of the 18th century in Vienna, added hugely to the authenticity and to the enjoyment of the concert. The programme was balanced with a couple of well known pieces and two lesser known works.

Das Konzert des Mozart Ensebles muß man einfach selbst erlebt haben. Die frische Art Kammermusik so virtuos dazubieten und mit einer Spielfreude, dass einem das Herz aufgeht war ein einmaliges Erlebnis. Das Ganze in historischer Räumlichkeit und vor kleinem Publikum hat fast schon einen familiären Flair. Auch die leichte und überaus beschwingte Darbietung war ein Genuss. Man hatte zu jedem Zeitpunkt das Gefühl, dass es den Musikern Spass bereitete die Musik dem Publikum darzubieten. Die gespielten Musikstücke passten perfekt zur Stimmungslage. Am Ende des Konzertes gab es stehende Ovationen der Konzertbesucher.

Me and my wife went to the Mozart Ensemble, the music was absolutely unbelievable to see and hear. The trio of the Pianist, Cellist and violinist were very professional, very interactive with the crowd and great fun!

Small negatives were that it was hard to find the exact location of the venue and there was 5/6 seats free at the front row and I don't understand why they didn't move people from the 2nd row or 3rd up closer as this increases the experiences and the seats were the same price.

But overall a tremendous event!

A great, intimate experience!

We spent time at three music performances in our 8 nights in Vienna. This was the best. It was the most passionate and the most intimate. I’d highly recommend.

Totally recommend this performance. A night of beautiful music played by excellent performers that obviously have a passion for what they do. This is our 2nd time seeing it and it won’t be our last. Get the top priced seats. You won’t be disappointed.

Great musicians

We booked the tickets online, very easy process. The room was beautifully decorated and acted as a perfect backdrop for the string quartette. The musicians were world class, so much so that we bought their CD.

I would absolutely recommend this concert. The venue was small and a thing of beauty. The musicals were all exceptional and their period costumes added to the enjoyment!

My wife and I had the pleasure of attending the Mozart Ensemble November 29th, 2022. It was absolutely amazing. I was surprised by the accomplishments of the musicians. They all were magnificent and I would absolutely attend again! I'll certainly let anyone I know traveling to Vienna know about this spectacular opportunity.

Everything was great. Reception was pleasant. Venue cannot be beat. The musicians were excellent and their choice of music was fantastic. We highly recommend this venue and performance.

The quartet was fantastic! The first violinist was excellent and so were the second violinist, viola and cello musicians. We also enjoyed the repertoire, a good mix of composers of the time. The venue was perfectly small . We would go back if we had more time in Vienna.

It was a fantastic concert in a magnificent salla, it was like a trip back to the days of Mozart! We really liked that apart from Mozart pieces, we also heard some of the most renowned Austrian composers. It is really worthwhile!

I had a wonderful experience at the Mozarthaus! I liked that the seats were close to the quartet and the acoustics and sound were not an issue. I did not experience any difficulties while booking nor during the activity. I would highly recommend this offer to my friends and all lovers of music and Mozart!!

The musicians were perfection! Their performance was heartfelt and flawless. The space was a little cramped, could do with less chairs and better chairs in the back. The organization putting this on May receive less angry customers and less confusion if you allow for assigned seating (not just sections). Otherwise, it was a pleasant evening, I’d still recommend and enjoyed wonderful music in a historic venue.

Acoustics were phenomenal. Setting was amazing, just the history alone made the evening. I wish we had information on the players' names and info-such talent, such passion with their music.

My wife would fall asleep during a symphony. She loved this and thoroughly enjoyed the experience and closeness to the musicians. She said it was her favorite thing we did in Vienna over our week stay.

Excellent ensemble playing several of the more popular string quartets. Loved the Haydn "Emperor". The setting was really special. Chamber music of this was not intended to be played in large concert halls. I would highly recommend this experience based on the professional performance and the intimate setting. A great value as well.

A fabulous evening in an unforgettable setting. It was a special pleasure to hear chamber music in such an intimate space, a space for which the Bach, Haydn, snd Mozart were written and performed. Who would think that the house of the Teutonic Order would include such a frothy room complete with romping putti and festive Dionysos. I enjoyed every note!

Good experience listening to the ensemble. The seats were a bit too close to each other but otherwise everything is great.

Everything was great. I felt lucky to be there and it was one of the best experiences of my life. Thank you very much.

As a different, smaller more intimate concert in Vienna I’d highly recommend this experience. The musicians are highly accomplished (& relaxed not pompous) the interval drinks a nice touch but most of all it feels like an exclusive event! Go - you won’t be disappointed.

This was one of my favorite activities on my recent Danube river cruise. It was held in Vienna in a salon where Mozart himself performed and I almost felt like he was with me that evening. The four musicians were excellent it was not difficult to obtain tickets and to get transportation there I thoroughly enjoyed it

The Piano Trio Ensemble was wonderful and they are so talented! The eight of us thoroughly enjoyed our evening and we found any seat in the very small venue is very good. Booking on-line was simple. My only complaint was please provide better directions and/or signage to find the venue. It took us some time and a very kind local resident to find out where we should be. I highly recommend this activity if you are visiting Vienna!

Mozart played in this small concert hall. The musicians were wonderful. We sat in the second row, no more than 15 ft from the musicians. The acoustics are great and the wall murals are beautiful.

The performers were excellent , enthusiastic , energetic and passionate .

Finding the venue was very difficult - we arrived early and Google maps took us to the address , however it was very poorly lit and poorly signposted .
There was a member of staff at a table outside but he waved us aside , I assume because we were early . However we were unsure if we were in the right place and this wasn’t welcoming.
Considering the dvd r takes place regularly , it seemed unwelcoming and poorly organised . There was nowhere to sit whilst waiting .
I felt the tickets were expensive and the interval refreshments should have been included in the price

Beautiful and historic venue with a great quartet playing some of the best of Mozart's symphonies.

Brilliant performance in an amazing place, and it's definitely worth the money. I strongly recommend it if you enjoy live classical music.

My friends and I attended a concert featuring music by Mozart, Strauss, Schubert and Beethoven.
The atmosphere, surroundings, and outstanding performances by the string quartet made this the high point of our trip to Vienna.

It is impossible to overstate how truly amazing this experience was. From the moment Claudio welcomed us into the compound, we felt the amazing energy of this beautiful place. Walking into Sala Terrena felt like a fantastical voyage through time. But words can simply not explain what I felt when the string quartet played their first notes. I was overcome with the most powerful emotions I have ever felt while experiencing live music. The astronomical talent of the musicians coupled with the power of the historical room was too much for my frail heart hahaha. I legitimately shed tears of joy.

Claudio was extremely nice and welcoming even staying behind to share a little bit of the story of this amazing place. If you want to have a life changing musical experience, do not give this offer a second thought. You will not regret it and will cherish the memories for the rest of your life!

We enjoyed the performance a lot. We saw the trio (violin, piano and cello) and they were quite talented. The venue is a little hard to find and needs better signage. Mozart only lived there for a few weeks, so I don't think it has much claim to him, but that did not distract from a very pleasant evening.

The concert at the Mozarthaus on the 15th of October at 6pm was a fantastic experience that I will carry with me!

The exquisite Sala Terrena is a wonderfully intimate setting to experience the works of Haydn, Beethoven, Liszt, Mendelssohn, Massenet, Schubert and, of course, Mozart, played by top-notch musicians. Our evening with the Mozart Ensemble created a very special memory for us.

Perfect way to end my trip to Vienna! The venue was intimate and the music - divine. A really enjoyable evening. I highly recommend to people who love classical music and want an experience more intimate than some of the larger venues can offer.

We attended a concert in this historic space where Mozart used to play- it was an intimate setting with only 4 rows of seating and great acoustics. The string quartet was excellent. We gave them a standing ovation!

We were worried this might be a tacky touristic thing to do, but the string quartet was excellent and the program was varied—not just familiar works. It was great being able to view the musicians from close up! The room itself is interesting to see. Finding the entrance was the tricky part.

This was a joy to attend, the setting is very intimate, and the music choices were beautiful and featured some pieces I didn't know yet, or hadn't listened to in a long time. The musicians were excellent and very experience and also gave context on the pieces, which was great.

Only down sight was the very noisy/naughty audience, who dropped phones (whilst trying to film), whispered, entered and left in-between various times. As the space is so small, this really disrupts things quite a bit, so perhaps a clear announcement at the beginning on being mindful of the musicians and intimate space and other audience, might help improve this.

Amazing concert from start to finish. The room is intimate and absolutely stunning (like the rest of Vienna). The musicians were great and even did an encore for us. Perfect for date night! Be aware, it is cash only so bring cash with you if you want to purchase drinks during the break.

The concert is done for tourists but u have to relish that tourists can be musicians and understand the quality of performance.

Of the four musical concerts I attended during my week in Vienna, this was by far the best one. The venue is lovely and historic, As a matter of fact, Mozart and Brahms both performed here. The musicians were world-class. I would attend this concert again and again.

We took our 3 small children in and sat front row... What an amazing and engaging performance, the kids were hypnotized and the acoustics of the venue were phenomenal. My partner had gone to this show a month before and she had to bring the rest of the family to experience it. It did not disappoint. Very much recommend this experience and thanks to all the talented musicians who were very entertaining.

My husband and I so enjoyed our concert at Mozart's house. Set in an intimate room, the acoustics are tremendous, the crowd size is delightfully small, and the three musicians we saw (pianist, cellist, and violinist) were truly extraordinary. We loved the repertoire of the concert and would highly recommend this for anyone hoping to have an authentic classical musical experience while in Vienna!

The concert was absolutely wonderful, with excellent and personable musicians. The venue was amazing to be in the same room as many great composers. The whole evening was absolutely lovely and memorable, tickets were a breeze to buy, and all staff were professional. Only complaint would be to more effectively enforce the no photography/ video rules during the concert. A man near me was continuously filming and taking pictures during the concert. During a break one of the musicians asked him to stop, but he continued anyway. Perhaps a language barrier, but it was a major distraction.

This concert was phenomenal. Truly one of the finest performances by musicians that I have ever seen. The small venue, combined with the performers' artistry, made it an incredible experience. The pianist was perhaps the best I have ever seen, the sounds from the violin were exquisite and the cellist was excellent as well. This was a memory I'll always have of Vienna. See it if you can.

This magical concert is simply a delight not only for your ears but your soul. We had a wonderful night and absolutely loved the whole experience in the beautiful baroque styled venue where you can feel the ghosts of the past (in a good way).
It is small, yet intimate and transports you back in time.
Highly recommended for all ages (I attended with my 10 year old twins).

Excellent venue, great program

I loved the hall. It was quaint and beautiful with hand paintings and an attractive courtyard. I appreciated that it was air conditioned, which is quite rare in Europe. The only issue that I had was that there was an error with my ticket and I had to pay an extra fee, which I found unfair. This did not prevent me from enjoying every single moment. I would absolutely recommend this ensemble to friends and family. It is an experience of a lifetime

Nachdem wir online gebucht hatten, war das Einchecken ziemlich umständlich organisiert. Soli waren weit überwiegend. Wir hätten uns mehr Stücke des Ensembles gewünscht und mehr von Mozart.
Ansagen fast nur in Englisch.
Wir waren vor Jahren schon einmal da und begeistert. Das hat sich nicht wiederholt.

I loved it! But it felt rather short and the musicians seemed a bit in a hurry to leave. The whole experience was 1,5h in total including a break and after the concert the musicians where nowhere to be seen. In such a small setting I would have expected that it was possible tho thank the musicians for their performance. The abrupt end was a bit of a anticlimax.
The concert itself was very nice. One of the musicians told and joked a bit about the music. I was great to see how the musicians felt the music. As a newby in classical music I can't say anything about the quality besides the fact that I would have happily listened to them for a while longer.
The venue is lovely and gives a extra touch to the performance. However it is impossible to find if you Google Sala Terrena. Multiple people where belated because we were at the wrong location and therefor we had to interrupt the performance. I felt very rude, but on the other hand if it is so widely adverted as a performance at the sala terrena, it is a bit of a flaw not to advert it as such on Google.
I had the slightly more expensive ticket, but I did not notice the extra value of it. Being on the second row, I could see just as much as people in the back. Therefor 4 out of 5 stars for value. But besides thes points it was a lovely experience that I can happily reccommend.
